Lead Designer, Rider App
2017 -> 2020

At Uber, I worked across the Rider app at a time when the product was scaling fast and getting more complex. I helped shape the UI and motion foundations across the request flow and on-trip experience, partnering closely with teams across the app to make a high-frequency product feel more consistent, clear, and reliable.

Some fun impact stats from my last year:

Ride Selection

Ride Selection

In 2018, most Uber rides came from products with relatively modest margins, while the most profitable products made up a tiny share of trips. I led foundational design work on the request flow to make ride options easier to find, compare, and understand—strengthening a core revenue surface while improving clarity in one of the app’s most important decision points.

I helped shape Uber’s early transition into a multi-service app by exploring how new services could live inside one coherent product. The work focused on building a system that could grow without losing the speed and clarity people expected from opening Uber to get somewhere fast.
